Some Unity Cards

A quickie card I made at the end of January. Some dp and some fun embellies

This card was made with my serendipity paper I made for the TLC on SCS this past Monday. Taking coordinating scraps of dp, ripping them into various sizes and then I glued them on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of thin card stock....my third card with the paper. I did this using the sketch on SCS this week. Loving me some Unity!

SCS TLC470 & MOJO334

I had so much fun making this paper....the TLC on SCS was serendipity. Taking scraps of paper and gluing them randomly onto card stock. I used an 8.5 x 11 sheet of card stock and this was my second project with this technique. My first card is below. I used My Mind's Eye dp and three Unity itty bitty sets....Splendid Things, Life is so Good and Vintage Handwritten. Gold and brown ep, a brad and scalloped circle punches to make the sentiment.

Same as above for supplies but on this I used gold glittery ep on the dragonfly.

A Springtime Lovefest

I am not sure that this paper necessarily looks like Spring, but it has flowers and I love the paper. I love the Unity flowers, too and thought they complemented the paper well. Some burlap, twine, shimmer paint and a fancy button to complete it. I submitted it to the Lovefest going on at SCS.

Inspiration Wednesday on Unity's blog

Here is the card I came up with for Inspration Wednesday on Unity's Blog. Shemaine has sequins on her mind and below is the inspiration photo. I knew I had turquoise sequins handy so I went with them. I could this ancient piece of dp. The punched edge was a white piece of paper I colored with only orange. LOVE this sentiment!

SCS Sketch Challenge

Good afternoon! Back home after a visit to the ortho doc....not fun. This involved some mixed media fun. I took a page from the encyclopedia, stamped my Unity images and colored with markers. Added some yellow glitter to flower centers. Next, I took a 4 1/4" square base and put down mod podge and then put the stamped page on top making sure to crinkle it. Let it dry and then sponged and distressed the edges. This made me happy as I felt out of sorts in the crafting department yesterday.

Have a lovely evening and go U.S.A.!

SCS SC475 & Word Art Wednesday

Another challenge card for the sketch over on SCS today and my post can be found here. I fussy cut my flower and sweet bird and then painted them with smooch paint. The flower and bird I won on Diane's Daydream Designs blog. The heart was done with blushing bride and then I put crystal effects on her. A heart was stamped and fussy cut from the circle sentiment which is from Unity's Dec. 2013 KOM. Some twine and a pearl to finish it off. This will go to my daughter MacKenna in Kansas.

CS sketch challenge SC475

The sketch for today on SCS lent itself to the triple stamping technique. I used my brand new Unity KOM for Feb. Stamped it in walnut stain and colored with blushing bride and a bit of green for the leaves. I didn't have blushing bride paper or the ink pad, so I used a marker to color my parchment paper pink and then ran through the rose cuttlebug folder. A little twine bow added for fun.

SCS Color challenge CC465

The color challenge was big yesterday. Summer starfruit, pacific point, smoky slate, calypso coral, soft sky

My first two cards, I used The Open Sea from SU! All the colors with the exception of summer starfruit were used on the first and for the second, I used pacific point, summer starfruit and smoky slate.

My third card, I used the Nov. 2013 KOM from Unity along with the sentiment from Sassy Pants. Here, I used all of the colors.

Have a great day!

Last weeks' favorite for SCS CC464

I made this card for last weeks' color challenge on SCS464 and it can be found here. The color challenge is one of my favorite challenges on SCS. It is so fun to try new colors and see what happens!
Thanks to Sallie, aka hobbydujour for choosing my card as your favorite. It made my Tuesday!!!
