For Queen Anne

Yeah, it's Friday and prom day!  Just a wee bit of stress because the BF has lacrosse practice an hour away from here that doesn't end until 6 PM.  Oh well.  Anne Harmon is our queen for the week over on SCS and I made this card in honor of her.  Her is her card http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1942305?&cat=500&ppuser=136194
I had originally intended on making it red and I guess as my daughter's prom dress is pink and purple, I opted for the purple.  I used MFP's Nature's postage and colored with purple, gable green, baja breeze and yellow.  Added glitter to flower center.  Some fun gingham ribbon and a hat pin from MFP's too.  White and purple papers from MFP's.  Embossing folders and edge punch used.
thanks for looking!!!

Just dandy dreamin' SC330 on SCS

I love today's sketch challenge. I went with a fairly literal interpretation of Roxie's creation. http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...;ppuser=23790I did a sunrise image panel and brayered the summer sun and pink passion on and then sponged the bermuda bay and black for the ground.  Stamp set from MFP's Just Dandy.  Papers from MFP's.

Nature's postage hi (SCS CAS116)

You know what they say about best intentions?  I wanted to get some much needed stamping in and only got to do one card today!  I participated in the CAS116 challenge over on SCS which was to use the artist's rule of 3s.  I stamped the image three times and used pearlescent watercolors to selectively paint each image.  Stamped another one and cut the dragonfly out after painting it.  3 stamps, 3 rhinestones.  Stamp set is Nature's Postage from MFP's and all papers from MFP's.

QFTD57 on SCS

The queen for the day on Friday was Benzi (Brenda).  She has some gorgeous creations in her gallery.  I chose to case this.  I am stuck on the Just Dandy stamp set from MFP's.  Great sentiments in it, too.  This was fairly easy and I just love the outcome.
Papers:  white, black, purple
Ink:  black, lavendar sachet
Accessories:  edge punch, MS butterfly punches, half pearls, baker's twine from MFP's

F4A61 challenge over on SCS from 4/22/11

Happy Day!  I made both of these cards yesterday for the free for all challenge on SCS to use orange on our projects.  The top card uses MFP's Just Dandy stamp set.  I stamped it in versamark and clear embossed.  Next, I brayered on pink pirouette and only orange.  Used a sponge to add the pink passion.
My second card uses the Three flowers with butterfly image and welcome sentiment from DRS Designs.  I colored the image in with shimmerz paints and used a crinkled up piece of paper for the shimmerz background.  Liquid pearls used as well and the fun baker's twine from MFP's.

Spring

Good day everyone!  I am sure that many of us are preparing for Easter Sunday.  I thought this card was a good way to start my Saturday.
I stamped the Four flower BG, the background branch and the polka dot bg from DRS Designs and then used a spritzer tool with the marker to add some more interest.  Also, laid the pad directly on the paper in a few areas.  Next, I stamped the Spring wording square sentiment in black and painted the flowers with lavendar shimmerz paint and old olive leaves.  I stamped the new release, Three Butterflies and painted them with shimmerz paint, cut them out and placed them on the old olive circles on dimensionals.
Colors: orchid opulence, old olive
Accessories:  shimmerz paints, ink pad, spritzer tool lace, ribbon
Paper, orchid opulence, very vanilla

Another embossed resist for MFP's challenge #50

I combined this challenge with the featured stamper over on SCS.
Another emboss resist creation. Stuck on them! I stamped in versamark, clear embossed and brayered on kiwi kiss and marina mist. The butterfly was stamped in marina mist and colored in with baja breeze and kiwi kiss (using blender pen). Added some baker's twine and layered 3 punches for sentiment. I chose this card of bspinks to case.
I hope that everyone has a great Monday.

Speedy the Cat's friends challenge #50-Hello!

Hi there!  Speedy's challenge over on MFP's blog, which started yesterday, is to do the emboss resist technique.  I used the Just Dandy set and it can be seen at MFP's here.  I stamped the image in versamark and clear embossed.  Next, I masked off for the sun and brayered on pink pirouette, apricot appeal and then from the bottom, I brayered kiwi kiss.Removing the mask, I sponged in apricot apeal.  Sponged black around edges of all layers.  Used the beautiful Prima paper Madeline from MFP's.  A lovely leaf stick pin with the pretty satin ribbon was used.  I stamped the butterfly, colored her and then cut it out.  Next, I put versamark on it and clear embossed it.  Come on over to MFP's blog and play along.....the prize is awesome....a stamp set from the next month's release!
Papers:  hazel nut tan for base, Prima's Madeline, kiwi kiss, white, mahoghany
Accessories, dimensionals, stick pin & ribbon from MFP's, oval punch, clear ep
Take care,
Pam

SCS CAS113 Just for you

The CAS113 challenge today was soft blues and soft yellows with a touch of a bright color.
I chose soft sky, so saffron and poppy parade with a touch of pear pizazz for the grass and gray applied with blender pen.  The sky was colored in with soft sky ink and aquapainter.  Also, participated in heavensent's sketch challenge over on her blog. I used a so saffron button and linen thread to put the fun rooster charm from MFP's as my embellies.  Oh, ribbon, too! I don't think it is really CAS but I am very happy with the outcome.

SCS featured stamper DandI93

I CASED this lovely card of Irene's.  She has such a wonderful style and always leaves everyone such kind, thoughtful comments.  I stamped DRS Designs small silhouette butterfly twice, cut out, colored with only orange and then placed crystal effects over the orange.  The yellow was done with yellow stickles.  The girl swirl from DRS was stamped in old olive.  Used an edge punch and adhered a strip of only orange at the bottom.

As another year flies by...

I have hopes for lots of butterflies sometime soon!  I used our small silhouette butterfly from DRS Designs and stamped it three times in burnt umber.  I colored them in with poppy parade and daffodil delight.  An embossing folder was used on the white, base layer. After glueing the layers together, I stamped a fourth and fifth butterfly and paper pieced the fifth one.  The spritzer tool was used to add the speckling. the sentiment is As another year flies by....  I used a button, linen thread and a bit of ribbon as my embellishments.  The sentiment is on a dimensional.
Papers used:  kraft, white, soft sky, baja breeze.

As another year flies by...

I did a couple challenges today over on Splitcoaststampers. I cased this fabulous card of clownmom's... http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...p;ppuser=72594 for QFTD54 and also did the free for all today which is to use homes of some kind. As spring is upon us and the birds were chirping like crazy this morn, I decided to use this beautiful stamp from DRS Designs. I stamped image with versamark and embossed in detail black. I cut away the paper from the top part of the image so the butterfly is separate.
